Discrimination may seem to be all the way in the past, but it still exists and happens in our world today. A major one is racial discrimination. This is when people treat others differently depending on the color of their skin or their race. There are reasons to why people discriminate others. Either for economic/ political control or racial superiority.
The economic and political control is basically people wanting to take charge over a group of people. Just because they are this certain race they get to rule over others. This has happened to us in the past or even now. A time when racial discrimination was happening was the Holocaust. A horrible past etched into our history. Where Germany exterminated the Jews. Why would Germany do this? Well according to “United nations cyber school bus” Germany’s economy was in a bad shape. So the Nazis blamed the Jews for this. The Jews were scapegoats. The Nazis convinced Germany that Jews were bad by comparing them to pictures of rats. So they made the people in Germany think that the Jews were like rats. They steal food and spread diseases. Soon enough hatred had stirred up in Germany against the Jews causing many Jews to die.
Racial superiority is another way people discrimnated others. Racail superiority was when one race thought they were better than another race, so they decide to take charge. This also happened in the Holocaust too. But another time where racism was still a big problem was during the time where Whites and Blacks were divided. White people had felt that they were much more superior than Black people. So they started treat them differently. They restricted Blacks from studying in the same school as Whites or even just eating with them. They were restricted to many things just because they had different colored skin.
Discrimination should stop. From these types of discrimination you could tell people just discriminate others for the feeling of power or superiority. We shouldn’t be judged at all for what we look like or what race we are. Were all humans on the inside. Why should our race and color separate us? It’s only a small part of who we are.
